    How it works

Your average day makes expectancy × risk × trades per day, where expectancy is win rate × reward:risk − loss rate − costs, in R. Days at your average = remaining target ÷ average day, rounded up, and never fewer than the minimum trading days left.

The average hides a lot of luck. The simulation plays thousands of challenges with your stats, one trade at a time, and reports the median and the middle 60% of finishing days among the runs that reached the target, plus how many hit the max drawdown first. Runs without a time limit stop after 500 days.

Trades are independent and risk is a fixed % of the starting balance. The daily loss limit and trailing drawdowns aren’t modelled here: use the pass-odds calculator for those. A short time limit tempts you to raise risk, which raises the odds of a breach too. See why traders fail prop challenges.
